Hello, I’m Zita!

I’m the founder of the English Explorers Club, a mum of two kids, and a proud Weespersluis local.

I'm originally from Ireland, but my background has always been international - growing up between Gibraltar, Greece, and South Africa, and later living and working in the UK, United Arab Emirates, France and the Netherlands.

Long before I became a certified TEFL educator (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), my world was rooted in communication. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Business Communications from the University of Birmingham (UK) and spent over a decade working in PR and leading communication strategies across Europe.

Right now, my husband and I are raising our own children bilingually here in the Netherlands. Watching my son pick up English words naturally through daily play, songs, and routine has been amazing. It's proof of what I’ve always believed: Kids learn best by doing, laughing, and exploring.

I started the English Explorers Club to bring that exact approach to Weesp, creating a relaxed, gezellig environment where English comes to life naturally through storytelling and games. Here, learning English feels less like a class and more like a weekly adventure they look forward to.
